Getting Here Is Half The Fun!

At Camp Jacobson, we pride ourselves on creating a fun and safe ride to camp for all of our campers. Each bus is staffed with a bus counselor who is warm, fun, and engaging and a licensed, professional driver who ensures a safe route to camp.

 

Safety First

Our top priority is the safety of each of our campers and staff. We make sure that each camper is securely buckled into their seat and provide car seats for campers entering Nursery and Pre-K. Each morning, our bus counselor will meet you at your door and escort your child onto the bus. Once the bus arrives at camp, our directors and leadership staff are ready to welcome our campers and escort them to their bunks. At the end of the day, our bus counselors will ensure that each child is met by their parent, guardian, or approved adult to take the child off of the bus at the end of the day. 

 

Bus Games, Songs, and More!

We train our staff to create a fun and safe environment on the bus. Each day, the bus counselor leads the campers in games and songs to help make the ride to and from camp a memorable one. 

 

Our transportation program features:

• Door-to-door transportation on air conditioned mini-buses from Nassau County, Queens and Manhattan

• Each bus can hold up to 16-22 campers with a CDL certified driver

• Buses arrive at Camp Jacobson between 9-9:15am

• Buses leave camp at either 2pm (for mini-day campers) or 4pm (for full-day campers)

• Daily bus activities planned to and from camp
