What will camp look like in 2022?

After running extremely safe and successful summers in 2020 and 2021, we are confident that Camp Jacobson will be open again for the Summer of 2022.  Camps have proven to be able to provide a much needed experience for campers, families and staff and we believe that camps will be allowed to operate next summer.  We are planning for many different versions of camp, depending on the regulations and recommendations that are given in the spring.  Once we have a better understanding of that information, we will provide updated information to our families.

Where is Camp Jacobson located?

Camp Jacobson is located on Long Island in beautiful Old Westbury.

What is your camper-to-staff ratio?

  • For Nursery Camp (entering Nursery and Pre-K): 1 staff for every 3-4 campers

  • For Lower Camp (entering grades K-1): 1 staff for every 6-7 campers

  • For Upper Camp (entering grades 2-8): 1 staff for every 7-8 campers

Is Camp Jacobson an Accredited Camp?

Yes, Camp Jacobson is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Our ACA accreditation means that we go above and beyond to maintain the highest levels of safety for our campers and staff.

What is included in the cost of tuition?

There are no hidden fees at Camp Jacobson, as we are a non-tipping camp. Your rate includes all staff gratuities, trips, meals and snacks, transportation, daily laundering of bathing suits, and towel service. Horseback riding lessons, post-camp swim lessons and before and after care are provided for an additional fee.

What is the refund policy?

Our refund policy is similar to past summers.  All deposits of $500 are fully refundable through February 11, 2022.  All tuition (excluding deposit) is fully refundable through May 1, 2022.

When can I expect my child to be picked up and dropped off?

Depending on where you live, you can expect your child to be picked-up sometime between 8:15-8:45am. Our air-conditioned mini buses arrive at our campgrounds between 9-9:15am.

Mini-day campers depart camp at 2pm. Full day campers leave at approximately 4pm. For a discounted rate, parents can choose to drive their children to and from camp

When can I visit the camp for a tour?

We offer tours seven days a week, around your schedule.  Each tour will be conducted in a socially distant manner and will be given by our director, Adam.  Just give us a call at 516-626-1094 to let us know what works for your family!
